The big Café de la Paix brunch

Concept
While the parents enjoy their brunch in total tranquillity, the kids produce works based on the museums, monuments and parks of Paris as they follow in the footsteps of the artists who most loved the capital.

Terms
At the Café de la Paix, Place de l’Opéra 75009 Paris – Every Sunday, excluding school holidays.
20 children aged 3 to 17.
From 12:15 to 15:30

Outcome
The children, many of whom are foreign tourists, discover the capital and are keen to visit its museums.

 

Event
ECLA St Cloud

Concept
Early learning for the young that enables them to recognise and appreciate the environment and nature that surrounds them. Purely manual activities alternate with skill and guessing games relevant to the topic.

Terms
10 to 12 children
One and a half hours a day for a week in the ECLA's premises

Outcome
The children gain real knowledge of graphics and develop a more attentive approach to their surroundings.

 

 

Event
Polo de Paris

Concept
Permanent workshop that is based on the major Paris expositions and novel cultural and artistic events.

Terms
Groups of 10 children for one hour
5 fixed one-hour activities per week

Outcome
Artists in the making who know full well how to recognise one work of art from another, to "stand up for" their own work and "risk" it not being appreciated with conviction.

 

 

Event
Musée des Avelines

Concept
The Cultural Centre, the music and dance academy, the media library and the museum wished to show everyone that there are no frontiers between different cultural media.
In this festival, the Atelier tactile was interested "in every sense" to show the wealth of potential sensorial combinations and how misleading they can be.

Terms
The children, blindfolded, learn how to identify natural materials and to create a piece out of clay.
6 groups of 10 to 12 children
Duration: 1 hour per group

Outcome
The true discovery and realisation that hands "can see".

 

 

Event
Johnson & Johnson
Party for the staff's children.

Concept
A kingdom of senses: all the Johnson&Johnson staff's children meet on the ground floor. Accompanied by their parents, they set out on a route to discover their five senses - and even a sixth: imagination!
"Touch taste, listen to texture, smell images, look at smell, taste sound, leave with one's own creations: 22nd March, become an explorer of the senses".

Outcome
Parents happy to see the triptych painted by all the children - a "contemporary" piece dedicated to this unique day.

The Economist
Advertiser relations for "The Economist" Polo cup - 8th edition

Concept
During the event, the children are introduced to the work of Gaston Chaissac and his Totems so characteristic of rough art. The children create their own totem based on the image of their father (it is a father's day).
A complementary calligraphy workshop run by Mariko, a Japanese artiste, allowed children to paint words they associated with their father's personality.

Outcome
Surprising and highly significant creations in wonderful colours, children crazy about Chaissac and speaking ... a few words of Japanese!

 

 

Event
Catimini
Launch of the Child Zone for Galmeries Lafayette.

Concept
Catimini is a brand renowned for the originality of its very colourful clothes.
"Travel plans" enabled each child to progress through ranges of very warm or very cool colours, via books of explorers and stamps chosen and positioned according to where their imagination leads them.

Terms
Galeries Lafayette - Children's wear floor
60 children throughout the afternoon, 10 minutes to 3/4 of an hour workshops according to the children and their parents

Outcome
Both the clients and the Galeries Lafayettte were delighted, the children were proud to "master the Travel Plan technique" ... and were reconciled with the idea of department store shopping.

Lili Gaufrette
Presentation of the Winter Collection.

Concept
At the Jardin d'Acclimatation, in a mini-farm. A portrait activity for the first workshop, based on farm animals using a clay plate base (that the children could hang on their bedroom walls once they were dry).
In the second workshop the children were using their imagination to create watercolours, collages and soft colours in line with the Winter Collection tones.

Terms
20 children from 2 pm to 5.30 pm

Outcome
The journalists were able to enjoy the new Winter Collection knowing that their children were busy creating.

Agence de RP Boracay
The agency's open day.

Concept
68 journalists came to the Boracay Agency's open press day.
While that was happening, the children expressed themselves via sculpture. One of the enterprises present, "Capitaine Tortue", inspired the workshop theme.

In a pretty barge facing the Eiffel Tower

Outcome
Each child gained considerably in creativity (tortoise eggcups, tortoise ashtrays, pen holders, ...) to the client's delight, Capitaine Tortue (range of children's clothes).

Presentation of AOC Wines

Concept
Country-style lunch with a tasting at the Hôtel Raphaël.
While that is happening the children are attending an activity based on nature. Provence-clay animals and chalk illustrations to give a feel of transparency and lightness.

Hôtel Raphaël, in the library, with real little goats of the terrace for the children to see

Outcome
Parents delighted by their progenies' creations, calm (artists need to concentrate) and serenity for this very vivid workshop.

Jointly organized with the Works Council as the children's Christmas part (at company headquarters, 133 av. des Champs Elysées 75008 Paris).

Concept
Eight Christmas workshops to devise totally individual decorations, a wishing tree for dreaming, a storyteller for beautiful tales to the rhythm of African percussions, a Japanese calligraphist to find out about the new way of wishing a happy new year.

Outcome
Overjoyed children and happy parents: "It was great, perfect, awesome, individual, creative, convivial, dynamic, colourful... and flawlessly organized".

Launch of the Sushibar in the Champs Elysées’s symbolic Toyota space

Concept
To make those who visit the Toyota space want to linger there, through the creation of a magical and inspiring world based around the Japanese cultural practices of origami and calligraphy.

Outcome
A lot of visitors took the time to discover the aspects of Japanese culture presented.
